We are currently accepting expressions of interest for micro-commissions for Delving into Dance, which seeks to publish diverse accounts about dance from the perspective of dance artists and writers. We are interested in profiling different perspectives about dance. This opportunity is open anyone involved in dance who has felt the impact of COVID-19.
We are open to all sorts of forms which may include poetry, essay and other reflections.
- We invite expressions of interests from people new to writing,
- We encourage ideas that play with form and style,
- Submissions can either take the form of audio format, or text base response.
This is a funded opportunity, podcast response budget is a total of $200 for selected podcast responses and up to $300 for other responses. You can apply with more than one idea as a separate application.
At this stage, we are just looking for your ideas; publication deadlines will be given to the selected writers based on when they will be published. If you would prefer to submit via video please add a URL and password to your application. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission, but no feedback will be provided for unsuccessful applicants. Applications now close Sunday 10th May.
This project is funded with the support of the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body, as well as vital audience contributions.
